Laughlin continues to prepare for the 2024 Fiesta of Flight Open House, Airshow, and STEAM Expo, which is open to the public, free, and will be hosted here March 9, 2024.

The event will showcase Team XL’s mission and the men and women who make the U.S. Air Force the best in the world. It will feature aircraft from across the Department of Defense, including present day and historical aircraft.

"We are extremely excited for what we have planned for the Del Rio community," said Maj. Patrick Doyle, 2024 Fiesta of Flight director. "We are at the leading edge of technology and innovation here at Laughlin as we modernize the pilot training enterprise. We are thrilled to show the region what Team XL does every day and inspire people of all ages and backgrounds when our nation is looking at a renewed call to service from its next generation."

In addition to the aircraft displays and aerial acts, the event will feature various activities that will entertain families, including a car show, food vendors, merchandise booths, and activities for children.

Fiesta of Flight will also feature a STEAM Expo, showcasing aspects of science, technology, art, engineering, and math in conjunction with the local Del Rio High School and CTE program.

A confirmed list of acts and static displays will be released on a later date.

Laughlin is one of the busiest U.S. Air Force pilot training centers, graduating more than 400 pilots in fiscal year 2023. This event will give the public a chance to see Team XL’s mission up close.
