Why he XLed: He examined 53 student pilots and coordinated with leaders to clear members for training, supporting 4,500 sorties. He also supported 56 deployers and dispensed glasses to 103 personnel, spurring the optical readiness rate to 100%, the highest in the Air Education and Training Command. He led the Aircrew Soft Contact Lens program and trained 104 flyers with no mission delays. He competed in the Muscle Mania Fitness Competition and trained 16 members on exercising and healthy eating, resulting in all 16 to passing their physical fitness test. He treated 139 personnel and managed $200,000 worth of equipment.
