Laughlin invited to 35th annual bull riding competition

Laughlin personnel have been cordially invited to attend the 35th annual George Paul Memorial Bull Riding event April 29 and 30 at the Val Verde county fairgrounds in Del Rio.

The top 40 professional riders across the U.S., including five past world champions, will be on hand to compete during the two-day event.

Opening night is officially dedicated to Laughlin personnel with Col. Tom Murphy, 47th Flying Training Wing commander, and his family as honored guests, said John Ludlum event.

Team XL members interested in attending opening night have a special reserved grandstand section set aside for the event as well as discounted tickets. Tickets are marked down from $25 to $20 and groups who buy nine tickets receive a tenth free. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the GPMBR office at 775-9595.

"We at the George Paul realize how important Laughlin is to our nation and the city of Del Rio," said Ludlum. "The best pilots in the world are trained at Laughlin and it is our pleasure to give the base nationwide television coverage and is our way to give back and help support your mission while having a good time."
