For a fun night with your fellow Airmen, all members of the 47th Flying Training Wing are invited to attend this year's combat dining out, themed Operation "You don't know Jack!"

The combat dining out is scheduled to be held Sept. 17 in Laughlin's T-6 weather hangar with a social hour beginning at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m.

Tickets are free for spouses of deployed members, $5 for NCOs and airmen, $10 for senior NCOs, officers and civilians and $15 for colonels. A meal catered by Rudy's Barbeque, live music by Kentucky Funeral and a commemorative coin are included with each ticket.

To go along with the combat dining out theme, all military members should wear a combat uniform or flight suit and civilians are encouraged to do the same.

"Combat dining out is a very informal. We have fun events planned to encourage unit camaraderie, such as a table decoration contest," said Master Sgt. Jennifer Cirricione, 47th Operations Support Squadron and combat dining out coordinator. "Everyone is encouraged to bring a water gun and expect to get wet!"

Additionally, a short skit to remember Jack Laughlin, who Laughlin AFB was named after, will be presented.

"With September 17 being Jack Laughlin's birthday, having a theme to remember him and honor Laughlin Air Force Base's past only seemed fitting," said Cirricione.

Although children will not be allowed to attend the event, childcare will be provided by Laughlin's Child Development Center and Youth Center on a first-come, first-serve basis. Spouses of deployed members and single Airmen have child care priority.
