Job title and unit: Patient Travel Technician, 47th Medical Support Squadron

Hometown: Trenton, Mo.

Family: Elaine Howe (mother) and Cliff Howe (father)

Time at Laughlin: 2 years

Time in military/civil service: 2.5 years

Greatest accomplishment: Becoming a doer, not a talker. It wasn't always like this for me. Not long ago I would say I was going to do something but I would never actually take the steps to complete the task. I have taken great strides to change this aspect of my personality with success. Now if you hear the words "I'm going to do this" or "I'm going to do that" you can bet that I am going to follow through with my words. I don't talk much anyway, so my actions definitely speak louder than my words.

This is not just something that has changed my life for the positive. I believe it has had a good effect on people around me.

Hobbies: Riding motorcycles; on both tires and under the speed limit, of course.

Bad habit: Sleeping in until 1 p.m. on the weekends

Favorite movies: Across the Tracks, Thelma & Louise, Johnny Suede, Contact, Cool World, A River Runs Through It, Kalifornia and Interview with the Vampire.

If you could spend one hour with any person, who would it be and why: Neil Strauss, the American author, journalist and ghostwriter. I just like his writing style and think he could share a lot of information about his life.
