Laughlin kids run in honor of Armed Forces Day

LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Hundreds of Laughlin children and their parents participated in the Annual Armed Forces Kid's Run here May 16.

Children 9-years-old and younger ran around the track located across the street from the Losano Fitness Center, but did not compete for first, second and third place.

Children 9-years-old and up ran either a 2-kilometer run or a 5-kilometer run. The top three in each group were as follows.

2K Females
First place - Isabelle Shandersky, 17 minutes, 19 seconds
Second place - Emily Cinnamon, 17:32
Third place - Sarah Board, 21:28

2K Males
First place - Max Combs, 17:46
Second place - Daniel Cinnamon, 17:48
Third place - Justin Casarez, 19:56

5K Females
First place - Yolanda Jackey, 32:06
Second place - Teri Heisler, 32:36

5K Males
First place - Jeremy Pence, 25:13
Second place - John Cinnamon, 26:59
Third place - Michael Markowitz, 27:54
