Members of Team XL were put to the ultimate fitness test during the Losano Fitness Center's "Fit to Fight Challenge" here May 15.

Participants were given one minute in each of the following categories and were challenged to complete as many reps as possible: pull-ups or chin-ups, sit-ups and push-ups.

"Each participant was observed doing the exercise and only exercises that were executed with good form were counted," said Jenny Poppe, fitness program director at the Losano Fitness Center and event coordinator.

The winner of the men's category was 2nd Lt. David Hancock, 85th Flying Training Squadron. He completed 49 pull-ups, 72 sit-ups and 105 push-ups.

First Lt. Jessie Olson, 86th Flying Training Squadron, swept the title in the women's category. She completed 14 pull-ups, 71 sit-ups and 74 push-ups.

"This was a very intense challenge," said Poppe. "After the event I reviewed the records from the last few years and found that this year's winners are indeed the most fit we've ever seen!"
