More than 20 people turned out to send deployed Laughlin members cards from home Oct. 4 at Airman and Family  Readiness Center's Su Casa.
"It's one of the Airman and Family Readiness Center's key roles to make sure family members and deployed members stay connected during deployments," said Tech. Sgt. Walter Anderson, NCO-in-charge of the Airman and Family Readiness Center. "We also strive to let deployed members know that they're always in the forefront of our thoughts."
Thus, when Marie McClellan, wife of Capt. Peter McClellan, 86th Flying Training Squadron, approached Anderson and told him about National Stamp It Up Day, he recognized it as a chance to combine card-making and deployed troop morale boosting.
More than 20 people turned out to make cards to send to Laughlin members who are deployed around the globe in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
"We've got people deployed from Iraq to Honduras, and many people in between, and we want to make sure they know they're not forgotten," said Sgt. Anderson.
