Laughlin closes Wednesday due to severe weather

LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --  Laughlin AFB will remain closed on Wednesday, Jan. 17 due to the winter storm and dangerous road conditions. Only key and essential personnel will report for duty as determined by their supervisors. All other personnel are encouraged to stay home and off the roads. The Laughlin Clinic will also be closed.

Monitor the 47th Flying Training Wing public web site and local radio, TV and internet media outlets for further updates including reporting information for Thursday, Jan. 18. Del Rio public schools and private schools will remain closed on Wednesday as well.

Facilities remaining open Wednesday include Losano Fitness Center until 6 p.m., the Laughlin Manor, and Chapparal Dining Facility. The dining facility will be serving meals to all personnel, including contractors.
