LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The 47th Flying Training Wing (FTW) recognized their newest Staff Sgt. selects at XL Landings Aug. 15, 2025. Laughlin personnel, family and friends honored 25 airmen for their tremendous diligence and hard work to earn the rank of Staff Sgt.
Air Force officials recently selected 15,894 Senior Airmen for promotion to Staff Sgt. out of 47,007 eligible candidates. Qualified Senior Airmen must meet specific requirements including three years of time in service, a 5-skill level in their military occupational specialty and completion of airman leadership school.
