Unit and job title: 47th Medical Group quality/risk and credentialing manager

Why he XLed: Kenneth Wiese, as the group credentials manager, privileged five providers in record time, and reduced outsourcing by 9-percent. He led Laughlin in an Air Force Medical Operations Agency level project where he was ranked second by Air Force Medical Service for patient access to care. He earned Laughlin's only Six Sigma Greenbelt, and saved over $100,000 in facility costs during 33 group process improvement initiatives. He led the self-inspection program which resolved 12 issues in the management internal control toolset and 19 with Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.  Wiese co-authorized the Exceptional Family Member Program wing supplement, corrected a critical MAJCOM deficiency, and supported the needs of 70 Air Force Families.
