LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Unit and job title: 47th Force Support Squadron marine engine mechanic

Why he XLed: Wayne McCullogh maintained $320,000 in Laughlin Southwinds Marina's rental watercrafts, helping the marina yield $3,600 for July 2015. He oversaw the construction of 11 anchors and their repositioning; securing breakwater with zero waste. He relocated the main dock to the cove to help protect the docks and boats from bad weather and provided shelter for $600,000 in Air Force Quality of Life resources. Lastly, McCullogh prevented the possible loss of life or property by providing emergency assistance to stranded boaters, babies and heart attack victims.
