Losano Fitness Center Incentive programs Published Feb. 17, 2015 By Airman 1st Class Jimmie D. Pike 47th Flying Training Wing Public Affairs LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- From looking good to just being healthy, fitness motivation is different for everyone, and now the Losano Fitness Center wants to give Team XL another reason to work out and maintain a fit to fight lifestyle. Losano Fitness Center staff members want to reward those who push their limits and reach center milestones with their incentive programs for swimming, biking, running and aerobics. The different incentive programs are as follows: Run Across Texas - Runners can log their miles as if they are running across Texas from the top to the bottom. Laughlin Cycling - Cyclists can log their miles as they push themselves to reach a new best. Spin miles are calculated by time such as; 30 minutes equal 12 miles, 45 minutes equal 15 miles, and 60 minutes equal 18 miles. All About Aerobics - The program includes many of the free classes provided at Laughlin like Zumba, Spin, Yoga and Pilates. Members earn one point for each class they attend, and if a member attends five or more classes in a week they will get one bonus point. 500 Mile Swim Club - Swimmers can log their distances with their sights on being one of few who can claim to be part of the 500 Mile Swim Club. This program is open to all eligible patrons of the fitness center and patrons can start at any time. Prizes and certificates are given to participants of incentive programs upon reaching benchmark distances. All the rules and benchmark distances for prizes can be found or explained at the front desk of the Losano Fitness Center. These programs are open to all eligible patrons of the fitness center and patrons can start at any time. If the incentive program doesn't get you motivated to work out and, as a military member, you can't find the time to make it to the gym, Air Force Instruction 34-266, "Air Force Fitness and Sports Programs," authorizes military utility uniforms to be worn during most workouts. A short 15 to 30 minute work out before or after work or during lunch is now possible. "We want to give military members and their families every reason and no excuses to maintain a healthy lifestyle and stay fit," said Thomas Kerr, 47th Force Support Squadron Losano Fitness Center manager.
