Education is an important aspect for any career, especially in the military, and the Laughlin Air Force Base Education Center wants to help bring your education desires to you.

To do this, the education center has sent out a base wide survey for Airmen to fill out. The survey takes less than 5 minutes and addresses questions such as, "Where do you prefer to attend class?" and "What field of degree would you like to see offered on base."

"We want Airmen on base to have the opportunities they want when it comes to education," said Christine Engel, 47th Force Support Squadron Education and Training chief. "The education survey will allow us to see which programs are most desired by the base populace."

The survey opened on Sep. 22 and will close Nov. 30, 2014. To effectively assess the higher educational goals of Laughlin Airmen, the survey will need a minimum of 300 members to fill out the survey before the close date.

"We are currently sitting slightly above 200 total survey completions," said Craig Chapman, 47th Flying Training Wing Education specialist. "If we reach our mark by the close of the survey, Christine can send  the data up to Air Education and Training Command, who will help bring the programs to Laughlin."

With enough feedback the education center can have programs here for Airmen in as fast as a year.

"Our passion is education and we want to make sure Airmen have every opportunity to achieve their educational goals," said Engel.

The education survey can be taken online at http://2014educationsurvey.questionpro.com or paper copies of the survey can be picked up at the education center.
