"The event is an introduction to Lake Amistad fishing," said Fernando Brown, 47th Force Support Squadron Outdoor Recreation manager. "Fishing equipment will be provided by outdoor recreation and is included in the cost for the event." There are three open slots available now for those who desire to learn from a professional and the cost of the trip is $5. Participants must have their fishing permit prior to the trip. "I'll be teaching the Airmen fundamentals that will allow them to have success when fishing," said Kurt Dove, Professional Angler. "We'll go over equipment checks, baits, techniques, fish behavior and more. The idea is to have the group able to go out on their own by the end of the day." More fishing expeditions will be available throughout the year. For more information, please contact the ODR Office at 298-5380.
