Why he XLed: He provided 976 pilots treatment and managed visits and care valued at $30,000, boosting the 47th Flying Training Wing's medical readiness rate to 88 percent, the 2nd highest in the Air Education and Training Command. He identified a pilot laser incident flaw. He also led the Field Response Team and led operations during an active shooter exercise and responded to 14 simulated patients. He also led a five-member team roof repair at a local church, saving $32,000 in costs.
