The Laughlin Spouses' Club has partnered with the 47th Medical Group's Family Advocacy Program to enhance the 'Bundles for Babies' program offered to new moms affiliated with the base.  The club donated packages of diapers to be included with the organization's existing gifts and for those enrolled in the program.

"We are hoping these diapers will help new parents here at Laughlin and there is no better way than partnering with the Family Advocacy Program and their Bundles for Babies program," said Priscilla Turner, club president and spouse of Master Sergeant John Turner, 47th Medical Group and Wing Staff Agency first sergeant. "These diapers will be given out along with the other items donated during Bundles for Babies to help new parents start off on the right foot."

This charitable partnership is a part of the organization's annual tradition of giving back to the community through volunteerism and philanthropic ventures.

"We are truly blessed to be able to give back to a community like Laughlin," said Hillary Bailey, club's charitable chair and spouse of 2nd Lt. Bryant Bailey, 47th Student Squadron student pilot.  "When families arrive here, it can be a difficult adjustment, especially because most families do not have relatives in driving distance after the birth of a baby; it can be tough with work and deployments."

The Laughlin Spouses' Club has contributed over 900 diapers since the start of the campaign and will initiate the next 'Bundles for Babies' drive in November.

The Laughlin Spouses' Club is open to all spouses of active duty, guard and reserve members at Laughlin. It is an organization dedicated to supporting the base and the Del Rio community through charitable outreach while providing a social outlet for military spouses.
