Why he XLed: Saenz revived the Dropped Object Program, a program that keeps track of objects dropped by an aircraft, by enhancing the program’s integrity and enforcing deadlines on all investigative reports. He analyzed the aircrafts’ dropped object occurrences and briefed the root cause to all maintenance divisions, which led to eight less dropped object reports than the previous month. Saenz also conducts Foreign Object Damage/Dropped Object Program meetings for the Wing to help maintain compliance.
