Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas -- The 47th Medical Group is offering a series of free family advocacy classes open to all base personnel, ranging in topics from baby care to stress management classes, throughout the month of February.
-Teen Dating Bootcamp: This course is made up of two sessions. Course curriculum will focus on healthy relationships, communication, awareness and prevention of teen dating violence. This program is sponsored by the Laughlin First Sergeants and free dinner will be provided to the teenagers. Participants must be 13-17 years old to sign-up.

-Combating Conflict: This class will provide participants education in non-violent methods of problem solving or managing anger in confrontational situations and alternative strategies for dealing with angry feelings. Classes are offered quarterly.

-Family Advocacy Safety Education Seminar: This program enhances Air Force readiness by evaluating couple and family interaction, identifying healthy and unhealthy relationship dynamics, analyzing how attitudes and feelings influence behavior, providing anger management techniques, strengthening communication skills, utilizing positive parenting skills, teaching stress management practices and maintaining safety and security for all family members.
