LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Unit and job title: 47th Maintenance Directorate secretary

Why she XLed: Brandy Mirenna trained four unit level secretaries on daily and special assignments. As the co-chairman for the school health advisory council, she ensured the improvement of local children's health in Del Rio. As the functional area records manager, Mirenna refined 35 file plans and trained more than 20 people on the procedure. She volunteered more than two hours to help raise community awareness on the wing Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program. Lastly, she helped raise awareness of the personally identifiable information policy to 500 civilian personnel; emphasizing command guidance and ensuring 100-percent network accountability.
