Laughlin welcomes new wing commander

Gen. Edward Rice Jr., Air Education and Training Command commander, passes the 47th Flying Training Wing guidon to Col. Brian Hastings, incoming 47th FTW commander, at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, April 25, 2013, during a change of command ceremony. The guidon is a traditional symbol dating back to Roman times, where military units would carry a banner with their emblem into battle. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class John D. Partlow)
