Two thumbs up at 'Pilot for a Day'

LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Capt. Winfield Scott, a T-6 instructor pilot in the 85th Flying Training Squadron, talks to 8-year-old Edgar Ibarra Jr. during “Pilot for a Day” Aug. 20. The “Pilot for a Day” program gives terminally ill or disabled children the opportunity to experience a day in the life of a pilot at Laughlin. Edgar, a Del Rio native, has spina bifida and his love of all things mechanical made him a perfect candidate. (U.S. Air Force Photo by Staff Sgt. Desiree Economides)
