Honoring MLK Day
Col. Laro Clark, 47th Flying Training Wing vice commander, introduces the keynote speaker, Lt. Col. Garrick Williams, 47th Civil Engineer Squadron commander, during the Martin Luther King Jr. observance luncheon organized Jan 22 at Club XL. More than 40 Laughlin members and distinguished guests from the local community attended the luncheon. MLK Day is a federal holiday marking the birthdate of Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., a chief spokesman of the nonviolent civil rights movement, who successfully advocated the need for equal rights under the eyes of the law.
