Combat Doc fulfills promise to grandpa who captained B-17s over Germany
FORT BRAGG, N.C. - Now a captain, former Staff Sgt. Trevor Ambron shares a moment with his grandfather, Richard Kozlowski. Former U.S. Army Air Corps Capt. Kozlowski piloted B-17 combat missions over Germany during World War II. The younger Captain Ambron promised his grandfather he would someday be a captain himself, just like his grandfather. On Jan 14, 2008, he fulfilled that promise. (Photo courtesy of Capt. Trevor Ambron)
