Friend, or foe? Blue Force Tracker to clear fog of war for next Afghan PRTs
FORT BRAGG, N.C. - Retired Special Forces Master Sgt. Bo Ramsey discusses displayed data on an IED which was plotted on the Blue Force Tracker with Army Capt. Rick Eggleston who deployed from Ft. Benning, Ga. The BFT system uses the tactical internet, aided by satellite communications links when terrain features interrupt line-of-sight communication. That constant flow of information puts leaders at all levels on the same page. (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt. Ken Hall)
