Friend, or foe? Blue Force Tracker to clear fog of war for next Afghan PRTs
FORT BRAGG, N.C. - A screen capture from the Blue Force Tracker training at Ft. Bragg’s Battle Command Training Center reflecting imagery and simulated overlays at the intersection of Highways 1 and 10 near Fallujah in Iraq. The system uses the tactical internet, aided by satellite communications links when terrain features interrupt line-of-sight communication. In the overlay, both friendly and enemy forces and equipment can be seen as well as a recent IED attack. (U.S. Air Force photo illustration/Ret. Master Sgt. Bernie Kabis)
