Bronze Star and a Bride - All in a day's work for Laughlin Airman
LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas - Tech. Sgt. Natividad "Nat" Ruiz smiles for the camera with Deputy Mission Support Group Commander Lt. Col. Steve Browning after receiving the Bronze Star Medal for actions during the past year he spent east of Baghdad at an Iraqi Army Base. During the tour, he averted a potentially deadly riot when suspected insurgent activity threatened the base's food supply chain. The sergeant returned to duty at the 47th Force Support Squadron on Oct. 8 and married Patty Ruiz the morning he received his Bronze Star. (U.S. Air Force Photo/Capt. Ken Hall)
