LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Col. Andrew Cernicky, 47th Mission Support Group commander, addresses the crowd at the POW/MIA Remembrance ceremony here Sept. 18. The ceremony was held in observance of National POW/MIA Remembrance Day, which is held the third Friday in September as a way to remember former American prisoners of war and those still missing in action.
