LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – A student pilot with Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training class 08-11 soars at about 300 feet during parachute training with Laughlin’s Aerospace Physiology flight June 19. Students “fly” twice during the training; once at 300 feet where they are pulled by a truck the entire flight, and once when a technician in the truck releases them at around 600 feet and they free fall under the parachute.
