Back-to-school health fair

LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas –Master Sgt. Monique Johnson, 96th Flying Training Squadron, helps hand out school supplies to children in the local community during the 3rd Annual Back-to-School Health Fair in Del Rio, Texas August 6. The fair provided more than 1800 students with a pair of shoes and more 3400 students with free school supplies, physical exams, haircuts and much more to the Del Rio community to help them get ready for the new school year that starts August 24. The event relied on nearly 200 volunteers and nearly half of which came from Laughlin to help set up, take down and ensure everything went smoothly, said Ray Torres, Laughlin’s exercise physiologist with the Health and Wellness Center event and volunteer coordinator.
