Snow days
Airman Nicholas Powanda, Laughlin fire department, sprays snow and ice from the roof of the 47th Flying Training Wing headquarters building Thursday. Since snow and ice are unusual this far south, most buildings in the area are not equipped with protective measures to keep heavy snow from falling off roofs onto walkways and entryways. The fire department was called to help remove these hazards once they began melting, causing them to fall. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Austin May)
