Police Week

LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Laughlin Honor Guard members lower the American Flag as members of the 47th Security Forces Squadron follow his lead during a formal retreat held in honor of National Peace Officers Memorial Day here May 15. National Peace Officers Day and Police Week are 46-year traditions honoring actively serving and fallen peace officers. Along with honoring the defenders, this week also gives Laughlin members an opportunity to learn about security forces and the jobs they do daily through events held during the week including sporting events, demonstrations and static displays.
