Laughlin, Del Rio refinish static
LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas—Lt. Col. Paul Beineke, 47th Operations Support Squadron commander, delivers opening remarks during a rededication ceremony for the static T-33 Shooting Star at the Del Rio Civic Center May 14. The ceremony was held to thank the dozens of Laughlin and Del Rio volunteers who devoted their personal time to refinishing the aircraft. The aircraft was used at Laughlin to help train more than 1,200 student pilots from 1953 through 1957 and again from 1960 through 1965. (U.S. Air Force photo by 1st Lt. Courtney Kippenberger)
