Laughlin, Del Rio refinish T-33 static

LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas—Volunteers from Laughlin and Del Rio gather under the T-33 Shooting Star during a rededication ceremony for the static at the Del Rio Civic Center May 14. The ceremony was held to thank the volunteers who spent more than two weeks stripping, sanding and repainting the aircraft. The aircraft was used at Laughlin to help train more than 1,200 student pilots from 1953 through 1957 and again from 1960 through 1965. (U.S. Air Force photo by 1st Lt. Courtney Kippenberger)
