Dental Assistants Recognition Week

LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – The 47th Medical Group dentists formally recognized their assistants by giving them tokens of appreciation from March 1 through 7 by arranging simulator rides, hosted by the 86th Flying Training Squadron. Whether working chair-side, taking X–rays or managing various aspects of the office or the laboratory, dental assistants are vital to the success of the dental clinic. Maj. Joanna McPherson, chief of dental services commented on this year’s theme “One Team, One Goal: Improving Oral Health” and said, “this year’s theme is very appropriate for our staff. They are a great team made up of people who genuinely care about our patients and the mission.” (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Sara Csurilla)
