AFAF campaign

LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Col. John Doucette, 47th Flying Training Wing commander, makes the first contribution towards a charity to help kick off this year’s Air Force Assistance Fund campaign here March 16. The AFAF fundraiser is an annual drive that lasts until April 29, to raise money for charitable organizations that provide a helping hand to Air Force members and their families, Laughlin’s goal for this year’s campaign is to raise approximately 29,400 dollars. The funds raised through AFAF go to the Air Force Village Foundation, the Air Force Aid Society, the General and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation and the Air Force Enlisted Village. The different organizations then offer financial assistance for a variety of reasons ranging from family emergencies to financial needs. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Sara Csurilla)
