LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Alexander Salas, aircraft attendant with the 47th Maintenance Directorate, inspects the entrance door of a T-1A aircraft for physical condition and safety. Salas also performs routine maintenance including checking the engine oil, ensuring the navigation lights are functional and inspects the entire aircraft for safety hazards like loose screws or dents and cracks. “The job is very fulfilling,” said Salas. “We help to keep these airplanes flying safely, and that’s very rewarding.” (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Sara Csurilla)
