Laughlin hosts newest “Pilot for a Day”
LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas –– Jackie Salazar, 6, takes a ride in a fire truck with Airman 1st Class Steven Featherston, 47th Civil Engineer Squadron, during Jackie’s visit to the fire department as part of a “Pilot-for-a-Day” program here Feb. 21. Pilot for a Day is a program that gives terminally ill or disabled children the opportunity to experience a day in the life of a pilot. Jackie was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma Cancer, a tumor of the brain.
