Model aviators take over Laughlin airfield on weekends, holidays
LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – First Lt. Nick Burik, 85th Flying Training Squadron, flies his award-winning Extra 300. The aircraft has a ten-foot wingspan and can fly at approximately 120 mph. Lieutenant Burik is a member of the Del Rio Dirt Flyers, a small group of radio-control aviation enthusiasts who fly at Laughlin when the airfield is closed. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
