LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Airman 1st Class Michael Homans, air traffic controller with the 47th Operations Support Squadron, trains in the air traffic control tower here August 18. In the tower, controllers are responsible for coordination between the flying mission and facilities on base such as weather, radar approach control and fire department.
