LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas-- Hector Hernandez, 47th Maintenance Directorate, repairs the canopy of a T-38 Talon at the egress shop here Aug. 8. Members of the Aircraft Ordnance Systems shop, commonly referred to as egress technicians, are responsible for performing inspections on the T-6s and T-38s ejection seats. They are also responsible for maintaining complete emergency escape systems, such as ejection seats, escape hatches and capsules used by flight personnel to escape disabled aircraft.
