LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- More than 20,000 cycling fans spent five days cycling across Iowa as part of the Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa. The event starts on the western edge of the state near the Missouri River and takes cyclists on a winding, uphill ride to the Mississippi River on the eastern part of the state. During the five day journey, the cyclists cover more than 470 miles and 17,000’ of climbing. (Courtesy photo)
