LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas –Staff Sgt. Arturo, 47th Contracting Squadron and a Laughlin Honor Guard trainer, teaches honor guard trainees different movements during practice here July 22. Laughlin’s Honor Guard’s primary mission is to render military honors to Air Force personnel and their families during funeral services and various Air Force details for more than 100 thousand square miles in the Southwest Texas area. “Having the opportunity to perform with the Honor Guard is a huge reason why I’m so proud to be in the Air Force,” said Sergeant Castro, who’s been working with the Honor Guard for more than seven years. “It’s just hard to explain the feeling you get when we travel and perform details for fallen veterans.” (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Sara Csurilla)
