Dental Clinic

LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Airman 1st Class Allison Demer, 47th Aeromedical-Dental Squadron, screens a patient for good oral hygiene at the base dental clinic July 9. Members of the dental clinic here evaluate and perform prophylaxis, which is routine oral cleaning, for more than 20 patients in a day. They are also responsible for performing oral and dental examinations for base members in order to ensure members are dentally qualified and ready to deploy. “My favorite part of the job is getting people dentally qualified and making them happy,” said Airman Demer.
