LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Susan Easley, T-38 Talon aircraft maintainer with the 47th Flying Training Wing maintenance directorate, performs a routine phase inspection on a T-38 June 30. Every 450 flying hours the T-38s are brought in for an inspection so aircraft maintainers can perform routine maintenance that includes brake checks, engine tests and stabilitychecks of wires and controls. “It’s been a lot of fun doing this job,” said Easley who has spent more than 33 years as an aircraft maintainer.
