Laughlin Air Force Base’s remoteness means many cellphone companies only offer minimal coverage in the area. Changing to a new carrier with better coverage usually involves expensive early termination fees but active duty military personnel can have their termination fees waived if they receive orders to relocate to any area that does not provide service.
