Taking command
Retired Air Force Col. Kimberly Olson, took command of the 96th Air Refueling Squadron in 1998 and became one of only eight female flying squadron commanders in the Air Force at the time. Olson’s time in the Air Force marked a turning point in Air Force history where women became more integrated and began developing the force into what it is today. (Courtesy Photo)
