A class of 30 Civil Air Partol cadets graduated from a week-long immersion course at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, June 16, 2017. Cadets in the Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training Familiarization Course experienced a condensed version of what actual pilot trainees at Laughlin go through in their 52-week training. Those who attended the SUPT-FC had an opportunity to learn emergency procedures, flying patterns, weather analysis and flight simulation just like a Laughlin pilot would. This event focused on giving families different resources that would help them live a healthy lifestyle. 20 organizations such as the Airman and Family Readiness Center, Fit Bar and base health exercise physiology office, participated in managing displays that provided educational material to the Airmen and their families.
