During the ‘Fiesta of Flight’ open house and airshow at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas on May 12, 2018, families attending with children of any age can partake in fun games and attractions located next to the Air Traffic Control tower. “By having the kid’s zone, it makes it a more family-friendly environment where they would want to spend the entire day,” said Victoria Barlow, 47th Force Support Squadron community programs specialist. “Families could come to the airshow, watch the airplanes while the kids run around in the kid’s zone, grab lunch, and go back to the kid’s zone and still watch the airplanes.”
