A C-17 Globemaster III lands at the Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas airfield to be loaded with aircraft equipment to take to the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, Arizona for “Operation Cope Thaw” on Feb. 1, 2022. Operation Cope Thaw involved Airmen from Laughlin Air Force Base continuing the UPT mission off-station, with learning objectives including developing Airmanship, learning to adapt to changes, and overcoming challenges within a mission while deployed.
